Joining Our Family

The Fallen Legion no longer recruits. It has not engaged in active recruiting in quite some time, as the Legion attracts outstanding players by virtue of its accomplishments and philosophy.

If you are truly interested in pursuing the Way of the White Helm, it is imperative that you read this page in its entirety, and then carefully review the description of our Apprenticeship.

If, after carefully reviewing this information, you believe that the mission and philosophy of The Fallen Legion suits what you desire out of your gameplay experience, you should contact a member of the guild in-game. Any full-standing Legionnaire can invite you into an Apprenticeship. Accepting an Apprenticeship signifies that you have reviewed and agree to abide by all of our policies, especially our Code of Conduct.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What server does The Fallen Legion play on?
A: Everfrost. We began on the Grobb server, and Grobb was rolled into Everfrost in February 2006.

Q: Are you hardcore or casual?
A: We are not "hardcore" in the traditional definition of the word. The appropriate definition of our guild is "casual," though we have been involved in very serious gameplay over the years of our existence. We are not a traditional guild, so it is difficult to slot us into a traditional category.

Q: Where do guild members live?
A: Legionnaires are welcome to live wherever they choose. We have members from all of the known cities, including Freeport, Qeynos, Kelethin, Neriak, and Gorowyn, and have several Exiled members.

Q: Do you have a guild hall?
A: The Fallen Legion has, arguably, one of the finest guild halls in the whole of the EverQuest II universe. A democratic vote of members opted for a Qeynosian guild hall for its more functional layout and aesthetic. It features an extraordinary range of amenities, including one of the most advanced transportation hubs to be found in the game, allowing on-demand access to nearly any zone or region.

Q: Can I have more than one character in the guild?
A: Yes. We have no restrictions on "alts," or the number of characters you have in the guild.

Q: Can I play more than one character at a time?
A: Yes. We have no restrictions on "boxing," or playing more than one character at the same time.

Q: Can I have other characters in other guilds?
A: Yes. We do not have any requirement that all of your characters be in our guild.

Q: Can I join the guild with an account or character that I purchased?
A: No. We have all worked very hard to gain what we have and build our characters from Level 1, and we elect not to play on an Exchange server because we do not believe buying a high level character is consistent with our mission or with our philosophy of gaming.

Q: Do you raid?
A: We are not a "raid guild" in the traditional sense of the term. However, member of the guild do raid regularly, as The Fallen Legion is part of the Everfrost Server Raid Alliance. In fact, the leadership of The Fallen Legion founded the first raid alliance on Everfrost.

Q: What is your guild level?
A: The Fallen Legion is one of only a handful guilds in the world to have reached Level 80. TFL was Everfrost's first Level 51 player organization and was the second guild on the server to reach each level from 52 through 60. We were the world's twenty-sixth Level 60 guild. We also achieved the epic Level 80 mark, the second guild on Everfrost to do so and the twentieth guild worldwide. The Fallen Legion is one of the most accomplished player organizations in all of the Everquest II universe.

Q: Do you have guild events?
A: Yes. Though there are no requirements to attend, we do have guild events of a variety of fashions, including playing in the arena.

Q: Are you tough on language and profanity?
A: Yes. We're reasonable people but we keep it clean. If you can't say it on television, you shouldn't say it in guild chat. Please refer to our Code of Conduct for details on how we do business.

Q: Are you tough on discriminatory language?
A: Yes. Racism, sexism, homophobia, or derisive language is grounds for immediate deguilding. There is no appropriate time or place for discriminatory language. No warning is required to understand that hateful behavior has no place in EQ2.

Q: Do you offer training to new players?
A: We offer gameplay assistance to those who have questions and difficulties in the course of learning how to play the game for themselves. We do have officers whose role is to mentor those new to the Legion and assist them in perfecting their skills. However, we do not train players who have no experience with online gaming in the basic mechanics of the game; We feel that is the responsibility of the individual to learn.

Q: Why can't I use the guild bank?
A: The guild bank is available only to those who have fulfilled their Apprenticeship, specifically those of Junior Legionnaire rank or greater. This is to protect materials that are entrusted to those loyal to the organization and who will use those materials for the good of the group.

Q: Why can't I buy my horse or materials from the city merchant?
A: These privileges are available only to those who have fulfilled their Apprenticeship, specifically those of Legionnaire rank or greater. This is in response to those who have enlisted in the past simply to benefit from the diligence of the Legion.

Q: How do I get a promotion?
A: Read the rank policy carefully for the answer to this question, which is unique to your level and experience.

Q: Does the Legion have guild heraldry?
A: The formal definition of our guild heraldry is Quarterly vert and sable, a Trojan helm argent, all within a bordure argent of braid. To the layperson, it is a four-way checker pattern of green and black with a silver helmet in the center, outlined by a braid of silver.

Q: Is there a branch of The Fallen Legion in other games?
A: No.

Q: Can I play as a Legionnaire on a PvP server?
A: You can have any alt you like on any server you like in any guild you like, but The Fallen Legion operates exclusively on Everfrost.
